Trust Yourself

There comes a time in each of our lives when we wonder who we can trust.
Life circumstances make us doubt our own selves. We stumble around like children in a blindfold game, waiting for another to touch or lead us somewhere, show us which path to take or what to do next.
Often we think, someone else knows better. If we choose to allow another to lead us, often over time, we may find ourselves become angry at them for sort of running our lives so to speak. Maybe they do know worldly things or how to do things which society dictates. But they sure do not know your inner state or feelings or thoughts.
Therein lies the real reason why many of us do not trust ourselves - its not that we feel unworthy, it is that we are unclear about our own FEELINGS.
The minute one faces one's emotions, the choices become clearer, which is one of the goals of psychotherapy. Namely to enable the client to uncover their feelings, observe their thoughts, and take responsibility for their choices.
Sometimes we do get direction from others, but that must resonate with us.
Furthermore, the direction we take and decisions we make, need to be clearly our own.
Trust in your ability to navigate whatever life throws your way.
Learning to listen to your gut feelings enhances your self-trust. When faced with a decision, pause and tune into your instincts. What are they telling you?
Trust the wisdom and guidance within your own heart.
“When you’ve spent your whole life listening to others, it takes courage to pay attention to the sound of your own voice.”
